Paul Drabsch has many years of experience in both emergency care and general practice. Paul has a special interest in sports medicine alongside his strong commitment to total family care.
Dr. Greg Lee
Greg Lee has been a GP in Orange for over 35 years. He has done post-graduate training in mental health, family medicine and preventative health care. He is well-known for his strong commitment to preventive health care.
Dr. Sandra Mendel
Sandra Mendel has many years of experience as a GP obstetrician and has a special interest in women’s health.
She is also a Medical Educator for training General Practitioners in the Central West.
Dr. Jane Batley
Dr Jane Batley has been part of our practice since 2003.
Her special interests include family medicine, preventative medicine and women’s health. Jane also performs minor surgical procedures.
Dr. Emily Lowther
Dr Emily Lowther has special interest in children's & women’s health, and offers a range of contraception options. She also visits local aged care facilities and the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood. Emily has been part of our practice since 2006.
Introducing our other staff
Sarah Jayne and Nicole are both very experienced nurses and enjoy working with all our patients. Our nurses work with Apple City Family Medicine, doing aged care assessments, diabetes care, asthma education, 45-49 year old health checks and other general nursing duties.
Our Office Staff
Jann and Sasha have been our practice Managers for several years. Annette, Bronwyn and Bronwen have also had many years of experience in general practices.

How our practice works
Consultations are arranged by appointment. In order to improve the quality of your consultation and to reduce the time for which the next patient is kept waiting, it is necessary to indicate when you need to book a longer appointment. Examples of situations which are likely to require longer consultations include a new patient, a patient with a list of problems, a new work injury, tiredness, anxiety, depression or an insurance medical.
Please ring from 8.30 am if you need an appointment on the same day. If you have an urgent problem, please explain this when you ring, especially chest pain or severe shortness of breath.
After-hours & home visits
After hours emergency care is available. Just ring the surgery number to find out who is on call and what the cost will be. Home visits in-hours are also available for regular patients of the practice in emergencies. Please ring around 8.30 am when requesting a home visit.
Other General Information
Fees, Discounts & Payment
A list of fees is displayed in the waiting room. Discounts are given to pensioners and healthcare card holders. Bulk-billing is offered for children under 16 within surgery hours. Payment on the day of consultation is required. EFTPOS is available
If the Doctor is with a patient at the time of your call, the call may be put through to our nurse, or an arrangement may be made for you or the Doctor to ring back at the end of the session.
Results are available via phone from the nurse between 3pm and 5pm each day.
Prescriptions & referrals
Prescriptions and referrals are written when you see the Doctor. During your consultation, please ask for any prescriptions which will be due in the next month or two.
Immunisations for children are done at the practice, and are bulk billed. Please indicate on booking that this is the reason for attending.
Skin Checks are recommended and are available from your Doctor during your consultation.
Reminder systems are available to support the commitment of this practice to preventive health care. Please ask your doctor.
